➠<International Collaborations> The 6G Communication and Sensing Research Center invited guest expert to conduct the "International Electromagnetic Wave Practical Training" course

Course Name : International Electromagnetic Wave Practical Training

Course Duration:2023/07/16~2023/08/01

The 6G Communication and Sensing Research Center invited guest expert, Associate Professor Dr. Chung-Tse Michael Wu from Rutgers University, to conduct the "International Electromagnetic Wave Practical Training" course. In this course, Dr. Wu began by discussing the properties of metamaterials and used theoretical derivations to establish their equivalent circuits for Composite Right/Left-Handed Transmission Lines (CRLH-TL). The application of CRLH-TL is in Leaky Wave Antennas (LWA), offering advantages such as wide bandwidth, adjustable beamforming, and ease of implementation. CRLH-TL can be used not only in antennas but also combined with various microwave circuits, such as Wilkinson power dividers, couplers, making significant contributions to radar systems and antenna applications. This course covers theoretical explanations, simulations using ADS and HFSS software, practical experiments involving FR4, and concludes with measurements using a network analyzer. The participating research team members have greatly benefited from this enriching course.
