➠<Educating Talents & Social Contribution> Company Visit_The Telcom Technology Center

On March 4, 2025, Professor Yen-Ming Chen led a group of 34 NSYSU students to visit the Telecom Technology Center (TTC). The TTC is a national-level information and communications technology (ICT) center that has operated in line with Taiwan’s information and communication development plans in carrying out supervisory policies, technical specifications, and security specifications in communication and broadcasting, with the goal of acting as the government’s ICT think tank and supporting the government with information and communications policies. In response to the development of information and communication technology, the TTC provides testing and verification of information and communication products, consulting, and operations and management services for relevant platforms to advance the technological upgrade of domestic manufacturers and drive industry development.

During the visit, students explored various specialized laboratories, including those focused on IoT Product Security Testing, UAV Cybersecurity Joint Testing, the Quark Engine, and the 966 EMC chamber. These labs provide services in cybersecurity, network performance, and product testing to help industries upgrade their technologies.

Alumnus Vaibhav Sharma, who graduated from a laboratory affiliated with the 6G center, participated in the event and introduced the "Emergency Network Mobile Vehicle." This vehicle played a crucial role during the 2024 Hualien earthquake disaster-relief work by providing emergency communication when power and commercial networks were disrupted, allowing disaster victims and rescue personnel to stay connected.

The event concluded with Professor Chen expressing gratitude to the TTC staff for their professional explanations and warm hospitality. This visit deepened students' understanding of Taiwan's ICT development and the accompanying cybersecurity challenges.
