➠<Social Contribution> Students from Guoguang Laboratory School, NSYSU visited "RF & Microwqave Lab" of the 6G Communication and Sensing Research Center

2025/03/14

We warmly welcomed students from Guoguang Laboratory School, NSYSU to visit our university.

To spark the students’ interest in the research conducted at the "RF and Microwave Lab", we not only introduced our research fields and achievements, but also demonstrated a simple radar system set up specifically for this event. This system is the non-contact radar sensing system developed by the "RF and Microwave Lab". Compared with traditional physiological sensing devices, which are typically contact-based or wearable, our non-contact radar can conveniently and comfortably detect physiological information such as breathing and heartbeat—signals that are usually difficult to observe in daily life. Laboratory members operated the system while providing explanations, allowing students to understand how it works. Finally, we invited students to come on stage as test subjects to experience whether the radar could accurately detect their own breathing.

During the final Q&A session, we not only answered students’ research-related questions but also offered advice on their academic paths. We encouraged those who are interested in research to pursue related fields in the future.
